What is Inclusive Voice?
As part of our not for profit philosophy, we are really proud to bring you the Inclusive Voice course.
It is so important for us to include everyone in our community in healthy voice use, and so we have included 10 hours of specialised, expertly delivered content for you in this course. There are a wide range of special needs and disabilities covered, providing useful resources and tips to inform your teaching. Learn what to consider when taking on a new student, how to optimise your learning environment for their needs, communication skills, learning theories, incorporating creative technology, and more!
Who is this course for?
This course is for singing teachers and choral leaders who want to learn about inclusivity and working with special needs and disabilities. The information is applicable whether you work in mainstream education settings, community groups, or the 1-2-1 studio. There are a wide range of special needs and disabilities covered by experts in the field, providing useful resources and tips to inform your teaching. Learn what to consider when taking on a new student, how to optimise your learning environment for their needs, communication skills, learning theories, incorporating creative technology, and more! We also hear valuable contributions from people about their own experiences of a variety of additional needs.
How does the course work?
When you sign into our online learning platform, you will be guided through 35 films that make up this wonderful resource. There is no assessment component to this course, however there are moments for reflection during the content, there are practical suggestions and personal worksheets to record your progress. At the end you can download and print a certificate of attendance / completion.
There are approximately 10 hours of learning content to watch in total and these videos are able to be viewed as many times as needed over 365 days from purchase.
